Trinity Brown the founder of the Noel Alexandria Foundation was waiting to meet her precious baby girl who was due on November 9, 2017. She was filled with joy and excitement, but was nervous and filled with  anxiety not knowing what to expect during labor and delivery. Of course, everyone’s story is different and Trinity had heard them all. She knew she would have a story tell one day too.
As Trinity and her family became closer to her due date, she and baby Noel were showered with so much love from family, friends, and co-workers. It seemed like the time was moving so quickly with making sure bags were packed for the hospital and ensuring that Noel’s nursery was fully functional.

Everything was going so well besides being a little uncomfortable as Noel continued to grow. On Friday, October 13, 2017 Trinity woke up in the morning and no longer felt Noel moving. She went into the hospital, had several ultrasounds and received the most devastating news. The doctor looked at Trinity with sadness in her eyes and the room went silent when she said, “I am sorry there’s no heartbeat.” Trinity was induced later that day and gave birth to a stillborn, Noel Alexandria. Noel was a beautiful baby girl, still born on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 1:42 am, weighing 5lbs. 8oz, 19.5 inches long at 36 weeks gestation.

Trinity knew she would have a story, but she didn’t think this would be her story. After all she had heard of stories like this but didn’t think it would be her reality. Everyday was a challenge from that day forward. Just within hours after delivery Trinity had to decide whether to bury or cremate her baby, ensure she had the finances to pay for the funeral services, find emotional support and so much more. During this time Trinity researched and could find very few resources and in some cases nothing for families in Kern County, CA that provided support specifically for families who
have been affected by Pregnancy and Infant Loss.

Trinity knew she had to do something for the community and decided to start a nonprofit organization. The (N.A.F.) Noel Alexandria Foundation was founded in the summer of 2018. The mission of the Noel Alexandria Foundation is to raise awareness and break the silence on Pregnancy and Infant Loss. N.A.F provides free educational, emotional and financial resources to families that have been affected by Pregnancy and Infant Loss here in Kern County, CA.

As we continue to grow and provide the following services, we know that we cannot do this alone. We are thankful for all the support that we have received thus far in such a short time. The support from the community has been amazing and we thank you.
